Portes du Soleil ski area is made of 8 french ski resorts (Abondance, Avoriaz, Chatel, la Chapelle d'Abondance, Les Gets, Montriond, Morzine, St Jean d'Aulps) and 4 Swiss ski resorts (Champery, Morgins, Torgon, Val d'Illiez).

With 650 kilometers of ski runs, it is the largest unlinked ski area in the world (junction between some parts of the area have to be made with shuttles).

From 950 to 2400 meters, "PDS" ski area is known as a great place for snow quality and quantity.

Location and access

Located in Haute Savoie (French Alps), Portes du Soleil ski area is seated between Leman lake and Mont Blanc massif.

Ski resorts access is simple and fast because of Geneve airport, Cluses, Thonon-les-Bains and Lausanne train station and A40 highway proximity.
